Rochester: Thursday, January 9, 2014 at age 77. Mr. Wenzel is survived by his daughter; Barbara (Tom) Daniels, son; Ingo (Jennifer) Wenzel, 4 grandchildren; Alexa & Erica Daniels, Dayna & Foxx Wenzel, sister; Liselotte (Rene) Chabbert of Fla., brother; Edgar (Irmgard) Wenzel of Germany also several nieces & nephews in Germany, best friend,
Ben VanRoon.
Born in Fulda, Germany in 1936. As a young man, Gangolf worked in the coal mines in the Saar region of Germany. In 1960 he emigrated to the U.S. and worked as a machinist for Eastman Kodak and was an all around jack of all trades. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Those wishing may make donations to Sunset House 3746 St. Paul Blvd. Rochester, N.Y. 14617 in Gangolf's memory.
His family will receive friends SATURDAY 10:00 - 12:00PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where his memorial service will be held SATURDAY 12:00 PM. Interment private.

Gangolf was a dear friend for about 35 years. We had many gatherings over the years. He will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear of Gang's passing. We have had so many fun times over the years at George's camp on Cayuga Lake. My deepest sympathies to his children, extended family and friends. He will truly be missed. Loved the video!

Our deepest sympathy to Gangolf family and friends. Gangolf was a wonderful person and will be miss by all . We met Gang through Ben Van Roon many years ago.We had lots of great times together and lots of laughs at my brother camp. We will miss you Gang.
