Lynne Love Low December 18, 1931-November 22, 2015 Irondequoit: Lynne Love Low died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard M. Low, and her sisters, Elizabeth Zatrapeznof and Dorothy Kaelin. Lynne put her great intelligence and warmth into raising her children, Duncan, Wendy and Richard Low. The daughter of two teachers, Harry Love and Ruth Campbell Love, she was an active PTA mom and a volunteer tutor, and took action on social and educational justice issues as a member of Greater Rochester Open Housing, a member of Friends of Fight, and a founding parent at World of Inquiry School. She made a formidable partnership with her husband Howard Low on the dance floor, and as master duplicate bridge players. She cofounded the Women's Racing Association at the Rochester Yacht Club, where she raced 420, J24 and Dragon sailboats. Lynne cherished her family, including her grandchildren, Jason Low, Savanah Low, Marcel Smith, and her great granddaughter Jessilynn Low, her daughters-in-law Dolly Howard and Melanie Sherwood, and son-in-law Todd Smith, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. On Saturday November 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., family and friends will gather at the Wegman Lodge, at the pond in Seneca Park (2222 St Paul St). Her service will be held there at 3 p.m. with reception to follow. Contributions in Lynne's name can be made to The Seneca Park Zoo, 2222 St. Paul St., Rochester NY 14617.
