Jaffarian, George D. Irondequoit: Surrounded by his family at home on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents, Diran & Ida; sister, Jacklyn (John) Harmon; brother, Ronald; daughter, Tammy. George is survived by his wife, Judith Ann; daughters, Karen (Aurelio) DiMarco & Jennifer (Anthony) Coffaro; son, Eric Zydel; sister, Rebecca Jaffarian; sister-in-law, Mary Jaffarian; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. George was an avid bowler, fisherman and hunter. At one time he owned his own trucking co. and was a charter Captain "Papa George" on Lake Ontario. His favorite job after retiring was working for the Irondequoit Police Dept. as a Crossing Guard at the corner of List & Pinegrove Ave. His family will receive friends Monday Feb. 8th 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday 9:30am at St. Kateri at St. Thomas the Apostle Church for his memorial mass. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Irondequoit Nightstick Club Inc. 1300 Titus Ave. Rochester, New York 14617.
