Douglas, William L. "Shotgun" Irondequoit: Age 61, died peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2016. He was as a long-term resident of Irondequoit, a volunteer firefighter for the Point Pleasant Fire Department, and raced as a Pea Picker for the Fire Department Drill Team. He was pre-deceased by his father, Wilson and mother, Isabelle. Survived by his devoted children Jeremy (Lauren) Douglas, Joshua (Stephanie) Douglas, Marissa Douglas, Jason Douglas, and their mother CindyLee Douglas; his loving partner Gail Nichols; brother Richard (Suzanne) Douglas; nephew Richard (Christine) Douglas; nieces Tammy (Scott) Wilson & Heidi (Scott) Willmart; cherished great nieces and nephews; Gail's children Jason Nichols and Scott (Michelle) Nichols; grandchildren Jack and Emma Nichols; other surviving close family & friends. Shotgun retired from General Motors after 30 hardworking years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, hockey, and golf. He had a passion for vacationing in Mud Bay, Cape Vincent, NY. He was a loving father, partner, papa and Pea Picker. Friends and Drill Teams are invited to join the family on Sunday, June 19th at 1:00 PM at Point Pleasant Fire Department, 55 Ewer Avenue Rochester, NY 14622 in Irondequoit for his memorial with food to follow. At a later date, Shotgun's ashes will be spread on the Home of the Pea Picker's track where he will experience one last ride. Flowers may be sent to the Point Pleasant Fire Department along with memorial donations that may be made in his name to the Point Pleasant Drill Team.
