Ann Marie Dertinger Fleckenstein October 17, 1926 – July 22, 2016 Ann left this earth suddenly and peacefully, on Friday July 22, 2016 after a week-long vacation on Canandaigua Lake with all her children and several of her grandchildren. Despite her 89 years of life, she spent the week playing ping-pong, beating us at cards, creating watercolors of the lake, enjoying food and wine, laughing, loving, and wishing she could capture the beauty of the sunsets forever. In the most awe-inspiring way, she has. Ann left us to join her husband Jack, the love of her life with whom she shared 65 years of marriage and family adventures. Ann is survived by her children Lee (Mike Criss) of Ann Arbor MI, Lola (DeAnn) of Atlanta GA, Mark (Joanna) of NYC, Peter (Molly) of Farmington NY, Scot (Ann) of Johnson City TN, and Mike (Lauren) of Raleigh NC, her beloved grandchildren Jackson, Andy, Jay, Eleni, Sarah, Nick, Dan and David and her sisters Betty Merrill, Carol Reichert and Lois O’Hara, all of Rochester NY. Ann was predeceased by her husband Jack, and brothers George and David. Ann’s memorial service will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 12:30 pm in the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Rd). If you would like to honor Ann’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Special Olympics, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or any other organization supporting children.
