Neary, Ada ("Ray") Irondequoit: Passed peacefully on August 10, 2016 at age 96. Predeceased by parents, Chester and Rose (Mueller) Rayton; her husband of 65 years, Lewis E. Neary. Ada is survived by her children, Nancy (Richard) Long of South Carolina, Kathleen (Charles) DeSantis of Illinois, James (Susan) Neary of Hamlin, Barbara Neary-Habza of Rush, Thomas (Patricia) Neary of Florida, Sally (Thomas) Bull of Irondequoit, Virginia (Paul) Boatman of Liverpool, NY; grandchildren, Christine Smith, Cindy Marchbanks, Richard Long, Jr., Jennifer Auld, Scott and Eric DeSantis, Rita Guichard, Jeffrey Habza, Philip and Louis Neary, Kathleen, Michael, and Keith Bull, Alex and Leigh Ann Boatman; 14 great-grandchildren. Ada was a long-time member of St. Margaret Mary Church, Women of Rochester Rotary Club, and Catholic Women's Club. After raising her family, Ada graduated from MCC and Empire State College and returned to work at age 60, working at World of Inquiry School for 25 years. Family and friends may call at Sunday, August 14 from 2-5pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, August 15 at St. Ann's Chapel, 1500 Portland Avenue. Contributions in Ada's memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
