Obituary of Douglas R. Schroeder

Schroeder, Douglas R Brighton: Wednesday, May 10, 2017at age 92. Douglas is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Edith Kader Schroeder; children, Lawrence (Lynda), Carol (David) Smereski, Norma Jean Schroeder, Donald (Mary Kay); grandchildren, Allison (Matthew) Cusimano, Joshua Schroeder; great-grandsons, Collin and Nolan Cusimano; Brothers and a sister and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Thelma Murphy. Douglas was a Navy veteran of WWII serving as a Gunners Mate on a P.T. Boat in the South Pacific. He was employed by Morse Sash and Door for 40 years. He retired to the country as a Beekeeper. His family will receive friends TUESDAY 4:00 - 6:00PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.), where his funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM following the visitation.
