Baller, William J. Irondequoit: Friday, May 19, 2017 at the age of 83. He is survived by loving wife of 54 years, June; loving children, Bethany (Joel) Donoghue, Billy (Denise) Baller, Heidi Baller; beloved grandchildren, Joseph & Kristina Baller; sister-in-law, Ruth Heiligman; several nephews, niece & friends. Bill was a Marine, race car driver, actor and singer. He was a voracious reader – a lover of history, and took pride in his vast collection of books. Anyone who met him even once never forgot his warmth and friendliness and the way he made you feel as if you were a longtime friend. A larger than life personality, armed with a quick wit and a great sense of humor, he left an indelible mark on those he liked. He was a great father, friend and brother. There was no one quite like Bill! The man. The myth. The legend! His family will receive friends Thursday 1-4pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) Friends are invited to meet the family Friday 9:30am at St. Kateri at Christ the King Church for his funeral mass. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Veterans Outreach Center, 447 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620.
