Cortese (Achille), Josephine E.

Rochester: Saturday, May 27, 2017at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Nicholas; her parents Andrea' and Maria Achille; brother, James; sisters, Annette DeLuca, Mary Marella, Ann Turchetti and Angela Farruggia. Josephine is survived by her sons, Robert (Thelma), John (Denise); daughters, Sandra, Marlene, Debbie, Andrea (Chris) Petricone; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Jean Cortese, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a stay at home mom raising six children. She loved to cook, play bingo. Her life revolved around spending it with her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She always had the gift of "gab" and would strike up a conversation with complete strangers and share her life story. The family would like to thank the Jewish Home, 3 SW and Lifetime Care Hospice for their compassionate care given to Josephine. Her family will receive friends TUESDAY 2:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.), where her funeral service will follow at 6 PM. Interment private.
