Irondequoit: Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the age of 84. Pre-deceased by her husband and the love of her life, Gerald; brother, Sheldon. She is survived by her daughters, Alison (Jason) O'Neil, Melanie Sanders & Elizabeth (Robert) McCormick; grandchildren, Aidan (Christina) O'Neil & Lucy O'Neil; great grandsons, Silas & Jameson O'Neil; siblings, Harry (Rose Marie) Armitage; Emily (William) McGee, Thomas (Rosalie) Armitage; several nieces and nephews.

 

Janet was a teacher in the East Irondequoit School District for over 20 years, spending most of those years at Durand Eastman School. A very special thanks to family friend and caregiver, Jackie Dieffendorf; Marie, Maria, Lisa W., Mohamed, Jessica and other staff members from Reservoir 3 at St. John's Home.

 

Her family will receive friends Friday 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday 10:00am at Trinity Communion Church (759 Winona Blvd 14617) for her funeral service. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery.
