Campanella, Anthony Joseph Rochester: Friday, January 26, 2018, peacefully at the age of 103. Pre-deceased by his wife, Madeline, his parents and ten siblings. He is survived by his four children, Salvatore (Stella), Noreen (Doug) Roberts, Joseph (Claudia) and Kathleen Campanella; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one more soon to be born. Anthony was born on June 12, 1914 in the small town of Pittston, PA. He enlisted in the United States Army on April 10, 1941. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack, and later deployed to the European front where he participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded with the Bronze Star, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal among others. He was a proud soldier, and loved his country dearly. For many years, Anthony was a member of the St. Cecilia's Men's Club, and enjoyed bowling and golf with friends. At the family's request, there will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday 9:30am at St. Kateri At St. Cecilia Church for his funeral mass. Interment Private.
