Dear Maureen and all who loved, admired and respected Laurie,
I was a resident at Brown Square in the 1990's and learned so much from Laurie. Even more important than working our way through a differential diagnosis was witnessing the responsibility that we hold as physicians to care for and about our patients. The healing that comes through long knowing. I am sad that her unique light has left this world and so grateful that there are so many who are able to carry her sense of mission and care forward.

I was not a resident at Brown Square, I do however remember the smiling eyes of Dr. Donohue and her love for the people she took care of and how her presence in family medicine encourage love and sincerity.

Laurie and I were English majors together at Mount Saint Mary College. We had many adventures together and the memories of her will be treasures I carry forever. I spoke with her briefly on one of her trips to New Hampshire and was eagerly looking forward to meeting up with her at our MSMC 50th reunion. Don’t wait….tomorrow may not come. Such a hard lesson to learn !!!! know the angels are welcoming her home to her Heavenly Father.
