Condolences to the Laniak family. Mr Laniak was my wood shop teacher at Madison High School in the seventies. I graduated in 1974 from Madison. I have shared many times and for many years, that this man could make anything out of wood. What a talent and educator. He was one of my favorite teachers. Most sincere condolences to all his family. To my cousins, Andy, Matt, Donna, and your families. My deep Condolences to you all for your loss. Your dad was my godfather and held a special place in my heart. During this time of sorrow I choose to remember your father with the good times we shared growing up and the wonderful conversations I had with him on the phone later in life. He was a great guy and I know he was proud of all of you and your children. He will be sorely missed but will always be remembered As he rests peacefully in heaven. Jim Lewandowski

Our condolences to the Laniak Family at this time of loss. Some of my fondest memories of Don were simply standing in his backyard at the river and having a conversation. He carried a welcoming warmth and smile, and he always had time to catch-up on things. He was a great patriarch, very proud of all of his family and their prospects for the future.
