DePalma, Elmer V. Irondequoit: (The picture above is of Elmer being held by his mother, Romilda) Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the age of 91. Predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Romilda; brothers and sisters, Ida, Angelo, Sam, Vince and Theresa; special friend, Debbie Root Sawken. Mr. DePalma is survived by his son, Lawrence; nephews, Dennis, Richard Sr., Richard Jr, Robert DePalma; niece, Wendy Reisenberger and many great nieces and nephews. Elmer was a 1943 graduate of the University of Buffalo where he received his Pharmaceutical degree. He then served on the USS Hope during WWII in the South Pacific as a pharmacist. He was a 33 year retiree from the Veteran's Administration here in Rochester. Elmer was a 58 year parishioner of St. Margaret Mary church where he belonged to the Men's club. He also was an avid bowler. His family will receive friends FRIDAY 1-4pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 10:00 AM at ST. MARGARET MARY CHURCH for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
