Acton, MA/Irondequoit: Friday, May 21, 2010. Born in Rochester, NY, in 1926 to Anna and Donald Cameron. Claire recieved a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. She was a life long member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Before her marriage, she made her career doing cancer research at the U of R Medical School and analytical chemistry at the Eastman Kodak Research Labs. Claire was active in various clubs including AAUW (Board of Directors), Engineering Woman's Club (Chair), Cornell Club, garden club and bridge club. She volunteered her time as a Girl Scout leader, a library aide, a kindergarten aide, church choir and for the PE Scholarship Committee. Claire enjoyed sewing, square dancing, camping across the United States and Canada and music performances of RPO. Claire was pre-deceased by her husband Paul C. Raynor. She leaves her children, Nancy Raynor of Irondequoit, and her daughter, Anna; Kathleen (Donald) Meschisen of Acton, MA, and their children Michael and David; Ellen Raynor of Glen Allen, VA, and Peter Raynor (Karen Rowehl) of St. Louis Park, MN, and their children Jackson, Duncan, and Devin. Her family will receive friends WEDNESDAY 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family THURSDAY 10:00 AM at ST. MARGARET MARY for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Margaret Mary Church, 401 Rogers Parkway, Rochester, NY 14617
