Obituary of Joan C. Bretch

Bretch, Joan C. age 90 of Syracuse, NY and formerly of Lake Panasoffkee, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Joan was Pre-deceased by her husband, Roger J. Bretch. parents, Jacob and Dorothy (Boyle) Bucher. siblings, Rita (Ronald) Shoecraft and Dorothy Grossi. Mrs. Bretch is survived by her children, Carol Farrell, John Zello, Theresa (Steve Bisgrove) Kowalczuk and James Bretch. Siblings, Andrea Guy and Robert "Bill" (Barbara) Bucher. Grandchildren, Jennie (Luke) Alessi, Ryan (Zack) Farrell, Nicole (Robert) McRobbie and Alexa Kowalczuk. Great-grandchildren, Owen Alessi, Genevieve Alessi, Penelope McRobbie and Annalynn McRobbie. Brother-in-law, Ramon Grossi.

In her free time, Joan enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, dancing, knitting, crocheting, camping at Tupper Lake, needle work and gardening, but cherished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

Memorial Service and Interment at Florida National Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Autism Speaks in Joan’s memory.
