Marilyn was a wonderful friend and a hard working coworker at the Democrat and Chronicle. We both worked similar shifts -- from about 2 to 10 p.m. We had dinners together in a little lunch room most nights, and we would get together for brunch every few months and talk for hours usually at Steve's in Penfield. What a wonderful and giving person! She always talked about her family and the Asian community. I'll miss her terribly.

Dear Ajavananda Family, We will miss Marilyn greatly. I will never forget how welcoming and patient she was to me as a new member of the Rochester and APA-HiP community. My condolence to the Ajavananda family. Marilyn was true friend, my buddy on travels, adventures and exploring. Even if we got lost, before the invention of GPS, and we got lost frequently! She will be truly missed.
