John,
I so loved to see you and Ebeth come into Matthews Closet. Ebeth always had a beautiful smile to share and greeted everyone. She was so proud of you and that you had a commitment to each other. You brought much joy to her life and she often spoke of the things that you did together. It will be difficult for you with out her in your life but she will always remain in our hearts. My love and sympathy to you and to all of her family.

I met Ebeth and John in the summer of 2019 when, as a member of the Maplewood YMCA, I enhanced my quality of life tremendously by becoming a member of the collaboration between the Y and Lifespan of Rochester known as the Lily Café.
Meeting and getting to know Ebeth and John was a wonderful gift from God. They each demonstrated lively and gracious personalities, a deep love of people, and an immense and quiet intelligence that was refreshing and inspirational.
I did not know Ebeth long, but I learned much from her about being kind, gracious, gentle, and committed to making the world a beautiful place for all to celebrate and enjoy.
Thank you, Ebeth, for sharing your heart and mind so openly with others. May we all learn to live so richly and joyfully.

Keith and family, My deepest condolences on the passing of Ebeth. I had the pleasure of getting to know your mom over the past several years. She was a beautiful soul and her energy was contagious. I loved seeing Ebeth and John together and their unbridled love for each other. I’ll miss our talks over tea and cookies and lunches at the senior center. Rest in Peace Ebeth.
