Andrea Gossin Tarquinio posted a condolence

Dear Keith and Kraig, along with your extended family, Andy and Marie were two of my dearest friends. I used to joke with Andy that Andrea was named after me and not with him in mind. I was shocked when your mom passed away. And now, I hadn't seen your dad in a number of years(as since the beginning of 2019 I've been either in a hospital or a nursing home for rehab). Prior to that I tried to keep in touch as often as I could. I was thrilled that we were always able to keep in touch despite phone numbers changing. After your dad was no longer the Town Attorney, your mom and dad always stayed in touch. I supported your dad's run for Supreme Court and was thrilled when he won. I made sure that if I hadn't seen them in a while, that I would make sure to see them over the holidays. I was happy they both were able to attend my wedding. A number of years went by (as I was living in New Hampshire) that if we weren't able to get together, we were always able to talk on the phone. I regretted not being able to attend either your mom's calling hours or funeral, as I was appointed by the Family Court Judge to be the neutral third party present during the non-custodial parent's visitation which consisted of the entire weekend in the southern tier. I was however able to reach Andy by phone and arrange to see him at a later date. I was just thinking of him today and came across his obituary. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know what a tremendous pain there is once you've lost both parents (especially in a close Italian family). Andy was such a wonderful person and he will be greatly missed. If we weren't laughing together, he was giving me some sage advice. I would have loved to see you both along with your children (who must be adults by now). Perhaps someday. May God bless you all and may He give you strength in your time of grief.

Dear Family:
The Judge's Legacy is the impression he left on others before me and after me. He definitely was one of a kind! I had the priviledge of working in his law firm as receptionist. He took me under his wing and helped navigate through the legal profession as I was fresh out of high school and very unfamiliar with certain aspects of the position. A true master he was.I looked forward to going to work everyday. I am grateful that I did get to see him socially and am grateful that I spoke with him before his passing. The Judge will never be forgotten. Sincerely, Karen Verzillo

Judge Andy was one of first jurists I appeared before a young lawyer. I was once told by one of my law school professors that you never learn to be a good lawyer in school. You learn to lawyering by watching good lawyers. The Judge was a great teacher. My sincere condolences to his family and those he taught by example all those years.

For a dozen years I had the great privilege and pleasure of being Judge Siracuse's law clerk. I could not have asked for a better person to work for and work with. Always straightforward, always willing to listen to contrary ideas, deeply committed to the welfare and happiness of those who worked in chambers--he really meant it when he said we were like family, and I know that all of us who had the good luck to be part of that family returned his love. He and I had very different politics and backgrounds but we never had any conflicts; we were both unwaveringly committed to the rule of law, and he always told me that he would go wherever the law took him. The world was better for his being here, for his integrity and honesty as a judge and his compassion and thoughtfulness as a person. I will miss him.
