Mary was my 2nd and 3rd grade teacher in the 60's and my all time favorite. She didn't live far from me and I would see her throughout the years while biking past or out at the grocery store. We would hug eachother tenderly, exchange updates in our lives. She told me she still had an embroidered, framed piece I made for her way back then. I always marveled at how young she stayed, spry and such a pleasant lady...a true lady. I hadn't seen her now in a few years. She lived a full and rich life. She will live on in my memory forever. We were saddened to hear of Mary's passing. Though we cannot be with you at the funeral home or church, we do extend our sincere sympathy and prayers. When we moved to the neighborhood, Mary extended a warm welcome to us all but especially to our two sons who waited for the bus at the end of her driveway. She made sure she introduced them to all the other children easing the anxiety of the first day. She was always so compassionate and devoted to children. May God be with her and all her family!
