Uncle Bud was one of my favorite Uncles. I really enjoyed seeing him last time we were together. Kevin & I wish we could have made it there in time for his funeral.
Would love to see the family too.
Uncle Bud you will be missed and say Hi to my Dad, Uncle
Bob, Aunt Jean, Grandma & Granpa Pell. Miss you all.

Uncle Bud will be missed by us all. We always enjoyed his letters he wrote every year. All of the Pell family in SC will miss him. We wish we could be there for his services but our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. He will be in good company with Aunt Jean, Uncle Bob and Uncle Stewart. Love from all.

It has been so many years since I last saw Uncle Bud (I know he preferred Sam, but he will always be Bud from my childhood years). I have always enjoyed the annual letters at Christmas, catching up on his life and the family has always been so special. I will truly remember Uncle Bud's support of me when I changed my college and my major during a time when Dad in his Pell stubbornness was not exactly speaking to me. Uncle Bud during a visit to Charleston chided Dad for his silence and commended me on making my own decisions. I will also remember that after my Dad's death, Uncle Bud and Aunt Barbara sent me a Valentine's Day card--it is that genuine kindness and thoughtfulness I will always associate with Bud and Barbara. I am so sorry not to be able to be with you at this time. My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Barbara, David and Suzanne at this very special time. The Pell Family in Heaven grows larger as brothers and sister are united once again--I can hear the stories they are telling already.

Robert and I are so saddened to hear of Uncle Bud's passing. We will miss his Christmas cards which always included a personal note asking about our family and updating us on his. Aunt Barbara, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers as you learn to live without Uncle Bud by your side, but we hope you'll find comfort in knowing he is at peace in a much better place than we can ever imagine.

Sam, Bud to me, was my brother-in-law, but I thought of him as a brother and Barbara Mary as a sister. I always wished that we could have lived closer to each other as I think our families would have had fun together. I will also miss his annual Christmas letter catching us up on the news from Rochester. I did talk several times during the year with both Bud and Barbara, but seeing them would have been better. I regret not visiting, but I hope he knows he and his family are in my heart always. I can almost see him sitting around with his mother and father and brothers, Karl, Bob, Stewart and his sister Jean talking about old times back in Lykens. I miss you already.
Love, Bettie

I wish I could have traveled to Rochester, but due to my health I could not make the trip. I remember Uncle Bud and Dad sitting on the porch telling stories about the good old days in Lykens. I know there are many more stories I may never hear. Uncle Bud was special and I will miss him.
Love, Kevin
