Johnson, Robert Michael
Irondequoit: Peacefully with family present, Monday October 25, 2010. Beloved husband of Ruth, father to Marc and Randy. Born May 2, 1924 in Rochester, Bob served as a Marine pilot in the WW2 Pacific Theater (B25), as well as photo recon in the Korea conflict (F2H-2P Banshee). A six-decade Irondequoit resident, he was a Ridgemont Golf Club member for nearly as long. In retirement after a long career as a Manufacturers' Rep, Bob joined the Geriatric Pilots Association and enjoyed many years as a volunteer at Colebrook School.
In addition to his wife and sons, Bob is survived by: daughters-in-law Joyce (Irondequoit), Lynne (Natick, MA); granddaughters Carolyn (San Francisco), Margaret [Julian] Barona (Fairport), and Alice (Natick); nephew Thomas Diehl (Wisconsin).
