I know he is dancing the polka in heaven! I still remember him trying to teach me and my sisters how to polka in my grandparents backyard on Timrod Drive. He was always smiling and so kind to our Szymula family. Take care and cherish those memories!

My favorite memory of Mr. Chmiel is when he taught Kathy’s high school friends to polka. It was a few weeks before Kathy’s wedding and our last sleepover. Mr. Chmiel wanted to make sure we had a good time at the wedding, so he had the three of us all laughing and dancing around in the kitchen. He was such a kind and charming man.
