Lois was predeceased by her parents, Arthur J. Clark and Kathryn E Haire, and siblings Ken Clark and Doris Nicholson.
She was born in Rochester, New York and grew up in West Irondequoit. Lois attended Charlotte High School, class of 1954.
After attending business classes at RIT, Lois worked several part-time and full-time jobs as a secretary and office manager for various local firms. In the early 70’s she joined VWR Scientific where she worked for thirty years, retiring as a district credit manager.
Music, especially the piano and singing, brought her great joy. Throughout her life she sang in many choral groups, including the Summerville Presbyterian Church choir and the Irondequoit Chorale. She continued her voice training and performances until very recently, studying at both the Hochstein School of Music and with private voice coach and dear friend, Deborah Conquest.
Lois and Gerry traveled frequently, following one of their daughters who frequently moved with her husband as he followed his career. They also went to California three times and took two cruises. They spent winters at a second home in Florida for fourteen years, playing golf and making many friends. Lois loved to socialize and was an active participant in the many activities provided through her retirement community at the Village at Unity. She enjoyed playing golf, swimming, games of any kind, and genealogy.
