Obituary of Shirley M. Keating

Shirley M. Keating, 96, passed away June 2, 2025, in Rochester, NY. Preceded in death by husband, Gerald, and son, Michael, she is survived by sons, Gerald (Susan) Keating and Kevin (Gayle), Keating, daughter Kathleen (David) Frondorf, grandchildren: Matthew (Patricia) Keating, Megan (Steve) Laubacker, Deirdre (Dan) Fusco, John (Morgan) Keating, Kimberly Frondorf, Andrew Frondorf, Caitlin (Brennan) Keating, Shannon (Chloe) Keating, Michaela Keating, and great grandchildren: Jayce and Quinn Laubacker, Ethan and Noah Keating, Benjamin Keating, and loving sister, Jean Sherry.

Shirley was a devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother who raised her family in Irondequoit and and helped make a small cottage in Canandaigua a special family gathering place. She loved watercolor painting, watching birds at her feeders, cooking, family dogs, decorating and spending time with her loving sister, Jean.

Shirley loved to read novels but began each day reading 'Joyfully Living the Gospel Day by Day' and praying (she said countless rosaries for those she loved). She will be remembered most for the happiness she shared and positive outlook on life and will forever remain in our hearts.

No prior calling. Interment at the convenience of the family.
