Obituary of Mildred A. (Johnson) Russo

June 2nd, 1929 - June 2nd, 2025

 

Irondequoit-Monday, June 2, 2025 at the age of 96. Millie is predeceased by her husband Pasquale (Pat) Russo of 62 years; beloved grandson, Nicholas J. Russo. Millie is survived by her sons, Paul (Karen) Russo, Joseph (Suzanne) Russo, daughters, Linda (Steve Larson) Russo, Patricia (Harry) Mason, Carol (William) Cody; grandchildren, Giuliana Russo, Claire (Andrew Niedbala) Fortin, Jake (Cecilia Cairns) Fortin, Allison (Zachery VanGelder) Fortin, Megan (Michael Castellano) Mason, Erica Mason, Jaimie (Gregory) Lockhart, Christina (Christopher) Schaub; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Josephine Russo, Brooklyn Schaub; granddaughter-in-law, Carla Russo along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

 

Millie was one of six children, born and raised in Rochester, NY. Millie was a devout Catholic and long-standing member of St. Cecilia Church. She was a huge Buffalo Bills Fan, avid reader, loved playing bingo, and going to casinos. She enjoyed her bowling league and card club with her friends. Millie took great pride in her work as a secretary for many years. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren. Millie was loved immensely by her entire family and will be greatly missed.

 

The family would like to thank The Green Unit staff at Heather Heights of Pittsford for their loving care and compassion in her last few years.

 

 Friends are invited to meet the family Friday, June 27, 10:00 am at St. Kateri At St. Cecilia Church for her funeral mass. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Millie can be made to Dementia Society of America or a charity of one's choice.
