Obituary of Barbara Andolino

Webster, NY; Age 90. Died Wednesday May 21, 2025.

 

Survived by her sister Rosalyn Rutigliano, numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, several cousins, and many friends, who will all sadly miss her.

 

Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Taviana Andolino, sisters Frances Montagne and Margaret Fess-Baldino, and brothers-in-law Robert Fess, Gene Montagne, and Vincent Rutigliano.

 

Attended St. Andrews parochial school, a graduate of Nazareth Academy, Rochester NY, and former member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Webster.

 

Barbara’s professional life was marked by two long successful administrative careers at the Ritter Company, and Owens-Illinois, also dabbling in Real Estate, and various supportive clerical roles before easing into retirement. A faithful daughter and excellent caregiver for her aging parents, as well as devoted sister.

 

She enjoyed a vast array of hobbies, which she excelled at, including tennis, skiing, sewing, piano, arts & crafts. She was tech-savvy and enjoyed traveling and experiencing new things, always increasing her knowledge, being an avid reader. She cherished time spent with family and friends, living a life rich in purpose, fearless determination, and familial connection. Barbara is best known for her sparkling blue eyes, joyful laugh, unwavering independence, and outspoken communication. She will always be remembered for her fearless and optimistic outlook with a young at heart quality, which made her such a fun and loving aunt.

 

A memorial service will be held on Barbara’s birthday, July 1st, 2025 at 9 a.m. at Paul W. Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Highway South, Rochester NY 14617, with a light brunch reception immediately following in the Harris Family Center.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, or Lifespan – Rochester.
