Obituary of Bruce C. Rouse

Passed away peacefully at home on June 7th at the age of 84. Born in Providence, RI, he was predeceased by his parents, Frank P. and Violetta Correll Rouse, his grandson Devan, and nine siblings. Bruce is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Dorothy, and his children: Debbie (Keith) Garrett, Todd Dugan, Keri (Chris) Welling, Jennifer (Bob) Newell, and Heather (Shaun) Garnish, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Bruce proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his retirement from Kodak, he continued to stay active, working in real estate and with the Rochester Airport TSA.

He took great pleasure in watching his beloved Red Sox and playing cards and pickleball.  His greatest joy, however, came from his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Whether coaching from the sidelines or cheering from the stands, he spent countless hours at ball fields supporting the people he loved most.

His family will receive friends Tuesday, June 17, 4-7 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday, June 18, 9:30 am at Holy Cross Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation (t2t.org) or a Hospice of your choice.
