I was a patient of Dr Carbone for many years. I always enjoyed talking to him, especially about my job at Walmart. He was intrigued by my 20+ years of stories. He was so personable, caring and always made me laugh. I'm going to miss him. May God bless his famiy. And may he rest peacefully in heaven.

I knew Joe over the course of decades-first as a skilled podiatrist who took such great care of my entire family (and came in on a holiday to fix my toe when I slipped and fell one morning!), as a husband to my beloved former 13WHAM colleague, Mary McCombs, and then as a doting father to Roma. I’ll never forget when she was born, I visited them in the hospital and he walked me over to the baby observation area. To my surprise, the tough-talking, jokester I knew was standing next to me with tears in his eyes as he looked at Baby Roma. It’s a moment seared into my mind. No foot problem was too big or small for him and he had such a great way of immediately putting me at ease, even with a sharp tool or needle in his hands! The Holland Mann family will never forget you. We send Mary, Roma and all of your entire family our most sincere condolences and all of our love at this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to the friends and family of Dr. Carbone. As a patient of Dr. Carbone for only a short time, I was not only struck by his skill as a doctor, but as a very funny guy like me. Because of my toe problem I thought my golfing days were over. Thanks to his expertise, I was back on the course in no time! The thing I will never forget is how we both were laughing thru my whole procedure. Since he did such a great job on my toe, I never saw him after that, but I am forever in his debt. Thanks again doc, rest in peace. Guy Higgins.

I was a patient of Dr. Joe Carbone. He helped me with the neuropathy I suffered in my legs and feet by fitting me with two pairs of orthotics for my Sketcher shoes which enabled me to walk again without any pain and discomfort. I am very grateful to him. He was very kind.

I knew "Dr. Joe" both as a patient and fellow Legislator. While he was performing a procedure on my toe, he told me for people he liked, he would give them a shot of nova Caine first. Then went ahead and performed the procedure on me, with no shot! As described, Dr. Joe had a great sense of humor, was generous with both time and money, and cared deeply about public service. I always felt better after spending time with Dr. Joe, even if it was only for a moment, He will be missed.

I worked with Dr Carbone for over 40 years. He was a kind and generous boss and friend. If one of us girls had a car problem he had the guy. If we were sick he had the doctor. He went far beyond being just a boss. His patient’s loved him and talked to him about anything and everything making him late for the next appointment. He was a joy to work for and I will miss him every second of every day!!
