Marian Stio Des Grange

October 31, 1928 – July 11, 2025

Marian Des Grange passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 96 ½.  Born on Halloween in 1928, she brought warmth, wit, and a vibrant spirit to everyone who knew her. Marian is survived by her daughter Gail Marriott (Robert Bambara) and her son Alan Des Grange (Joleen Pieri); her grandchildren, Stephen (Alanna), Julie (Kayla), Kevin (David) Marriott, Sarah and Bridget (Tyler) Des Grange, Rebecca (Justin) and Bradley (Marnessa) Bambara. Her joy continued with her great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Michael, Kaden and Kyla Marriott – each one adding a new chapter of love and laughter to her long and beautiful life.

Marian was predeceased by her devoted husband, Eugene Des Grange, her parents, Anthony and Sarah Stio, and her brother, William Stio.

She shared decades of meaningful friendship with Mary Ann Ledford, Ann Marie Schembri, and her wonderful neighbor, Carol Mattison, all of whom brought light and companionship to her life.

She worked for many years as a receptionist at Athena Salon of Beauty, where her warm smile and welcoming presence left a lasting impression on co-workers and clients alike.

Marian found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: watching General Hospital, the New York Mets, game shows, gardening, solving crossword puzzles, crocheting hundreds of warm scarves for children in need, and listening to rock and roll music.
