Obituary of Sarah L. Luciano
Irondequoit: Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the age of 42. Predeceased by her grandparents, Anthony and Agnes Luciano and Frederick and Bernice Gordon. Survived by her Grandmother Jean Gordon; parents, James and Sandra Luciano; siblings, Paul (Kate Linder), Jonathan (Jessica), and Peter Luciano; nephews, Gabriel and Gideon Luciano; nieces, Noelle and Tabitha Luciano; and grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Sarah was born to Jim and Sandy in their home on Manchester St. in Rochester, NY. She attended Irondequoit High School where she played field hockey. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology in addition to developing lifelong friendships at Russell Sage College. She went on to a career in tax preparation where she proved to be a diligent and meticulous worker.
Sarah’s life was marked by a profound love for the Lord and a close attunement to His leading. Her purpose and passion in life was to share the gospel both locally and globally so that none should perish. She traveled to India more than once to spread the good news and to meet the young man she sponsored for years. In addition, she had a real heart for the Jewish people. She dedicated her life to serving Jesus.
Sarah possessed infectious joy and infinite friendliness. She loved meeting and getting to know new people. She had a servant spirit, often babysitting her nieces, nephews, and cousins or volunteering at her church. She made a mean Dinosaur Bar-B-Que shepherd’s pie. She cherished time spent with her immediate and extended family as well as her friends.
On Saturday, August 23, 2025, Sarah’s family will receive friends for calling hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Paul Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Hwy S, Rochester, NY 14617). The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Drs. Tipirneni and Horowitz, the UR Hospice Team, and the team at Mt Carmel house where Sarah received incredible care in her last days.
