Obituary of Patricia A. Barnette

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Barnette, who left this world on July 29, 2025, in Rochester, New York, at the age of 72. Born on August 12, 1952, Patti lived a life defined by deep love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend – known for her kindness, warmth and a smile that made everyone feel at home.

Patti spent her entire career in the hotel industry, where her professionalism, and ability to make others feel welcome left a lasting impression on colleagues and guests alike. Her work was more than a job—it was a reflection of her generous spirit and natural ability to make others feel welcome, seen and valued.

Outside of work, Patti lived life fully and joyfully. She had a passion for yard sales, a love for travel, a deep connection with her plants & garden and a heart that always found its way to family and friends – near or far.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Tommy Poole, Shannon Poole, Staci Barnette, and Renee Warren; and by her beloved grandchildren: Ashlyn Poole, Lillee Poole, and Britt Warren. Patti also leaves behind her dear siblings: Diane Latvala, Susan (Raymond) Batla, Gary (Elizabeth) Clark and sisters in law: Theresa (Thomas) Coar and Annie Clark, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who brought her endless pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Sophie Clark, and her brothers, Robert Clark and Donald Clark. We find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with them.

Patti’s legacy lives on in the values she embodied: compassion, resilience, and the importance of family. Her laughter, insight, and ability to turn any day into a celebration will be deeply missed—and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held with family and friends in Apopka, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice in Patti’s memory.

We’ve also created a memorial website where you can view the Celebration of Life event details & RSVP as well as share stories, photos, or simply visit to remember her:
