Megan is survived by her mother, Ellen; her father, Duane; her brother Andrew and sister in-law Amy.
Megan was born in Sacramento, California on January 11th 1995. After briefly relocating to Royersford, Pennsylvania, she moved to Fairport, New York. Megan quickly grew to be a passionate artist and reader, having been rarely seen without a book in hand, and gained notoriety as a rogue illustrator of hotel rooms, televisions, and any sundry medium she could find.
Later, Megan grew to become an avid animal lover, caring for her family’s four-legged friends, and eventually her own beloved cat Finn in whom she found love and delight by spoiling him with fishy treats, bird watching, cuddles, and kombucha bottle caps. She also developed a passion for baking, and often visited friends, family, and coworkers with her latest and greatest inventions and discoveries of pastries and deserts.
Megan graduated from Fairport High School, and went on to get receive degrees in human development and English at SUNY Oswego, after which she dedicated herself, her compassion, and her kindness to the care of others as a social worker for Monroe County.
Memorial Donations may be made in Megan’s name to Lollypop Farm (Humane Society of Greater Rochester), 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
A memorial service will be held for Megan at the Lamberton Conservatory (180 Reservoir Ave, Rochester, NY 14620) on Saturday, November 1st from 4:30-7:30 pm.
