My heart is heavy as I learned the incredibly sad news of Randy's passing. For over two decades, Randy wasn't just a business associate; he was a friend, a truly special individual who transcended the boundaries of professional acquaintance.
Our connection, spanning more than twenty years, grew into something far more profound than mere transactions or meetings. Randy became, without a doubt, like extended family to me, especially with our shared business trip overseas and memories in Upstate New York. He had a way of making every interaction feel personal, warm, and genuine. His kindness, his unwavering support, and his infectious spirit always shone through, making every moment spent with him a true pleasure. He will be deeply missed, not just for his professional acumen, but for the incredible human being he was.
To Randy's family, I extend my sincerest sympathies. May you find comfort in the cherished memories you hold and in the knowledge that Randy touched so many lives with his warmth and generosity.
Rest in peace, dear Randy. You will never be forgotten. Your friend George Lai

I was terribly saddened to hear of Randy's passing. He was a friend and classmate at both FHS and UR Engineering, and had one of the most brilliant science minds of anyone I knew....all while being humble and genuine (and downright fun to around!) My first two years at UR I was a commuting student (rare back then) and Randy was my on-campus connection, introducing me to his dorm friends and letting me crash in his room a few times after a few too many Genny's and Sal's Birds (!). I wish we had kept more in touch as the years rolled by and I made NJ my home in the 90s.
To Lisa, Matthew, Caroline, and all of Randy's family - my deepest sympathies and prayers...and find comfort knowing that Heaven just got another angel, albeit way too soon.

Randy was one of the kids in our youth group at the Baptist church in Fairport in the mid 70's. Dan and I were advisors along with Rev Mike Scott. We were not that much older and had 2 young daughters who sometimes came to the weekly meetings. We enjoyed going on a couple of retreats with the BYF. At that time it was both junior and senior high kids together. I think Murray was there as well. When we moved to East Rochester in 1981, Randy along with Doug Venette, Dale Castle, and several others, helped us move. I could not believe how much boys could eat!! They ate everything I bought for lunch and I had to make pb&j as well!
They were all such wonderful kids and I have had the pleasure to follow some of them over the years.
I am so sorry to hear of Randy's passing. Please know that his light will continue to burn brightly through all who knew and loved him. "Look not on death as extinguishing the light, but rather turning down the flame for the dawn has come." Just as the stars continue to shine during the day, even though not visible to us, Randy's light will keep on shining.
God's love, peace, and strength be with you all as you go through the difficult days ahead. You are not alone. Karen & Dan Velasco

Lisa, Matthew and Caroline - Randy and I grew up together, playing kickball in his backyard and studying for our geometry exam on his pool table. A lot of great memories. Unfortunately, we have only bumped into each other at various events around the village of Fairport in the past years, but it was always great catching up a little bit. Randy was one of the nicest and most laid back guys I knew and just a really good person to be around. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Randy was a good man that will definitely be missed.
