Dear Wendy, Lisa, Doug, spouses, children, grands, great-grand,
My deepest sympathy on the death into Life of my dear, loyal friend of 68 years: Finnie. Soon after we departed our apartment on Tracy St., Rochester, we went our separate ways, but never lost touch. In fact, if I were remiss in contacting Finnie, she would call my parents, wondering where I was and what I was doing. They would then call me and tell me in no uncertain terms that I was to call Finnie ASAP!
During every reunion, Jack and I stayed with her. She would invite some classmates to come over to see us. Her hospitality knew no bounds; she was the perfect hostess - her entertaining seemed effortless.
When she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and entered the nursing home, she was always upbeat and said she was "fine," even when she wasn't. She was more concerned about me and my family.
Thank you, Rhonda, for allowing me to say my final "goodbye,:" holding the phone to her ear, while she was semi-comatose. I will miss her "sexy" voice and frequent chats.
Now, I can pray TO her in her Heavenly Home. Godspeed, dear Finnie! With deep and abiding love, Jeanette - Jack, too :-)
