Darryal is survived by his daughters, Victoria (George) Enriquez, and Devan Demaso; step-son, Brandon Trokanski; grandchildren, Hannah and Benjamin; father, Rudolph Jones; and siblings, Margot Jordan, Reginald Jones, Michael Jones, Alan Jones, and Rosie (Jeff) Hoistion.

He is predeceased by his mother, Virginia Brown; and his sister, Robin (Clark) Searcy.

Darryal was born in Georgia and his family moved to New York when he was just a baby. He made life-long friendships in his youth with Bill McHugh and Steve Berardi (to ONLY name a couple), and they went through the joys and hardships of life together. He made a career as a pipe fitting engineer, and just as fitting, is the fact that he loved all things science, but not more than he loved Star Trek. He was an avid reader. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting out on his back porch with a cigarette, his Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, and a book. He was always there to crack a joke and make you laugh or have a heart-to-heart. He was an incredibly supportive, warm, and welcoming person whose presence will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Darryal’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105), as this was his favorite charity to give to.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at The Highlands at Brighton for their care and compassion, as it was unparalleled.

Friends are invited to meet the family at the funeral home for his memorial service on October 18^th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Highway So.).
