Obituary of James A. Noble
2/18/63 - 10/25/25
James A. Noble Jr. passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2025, due to complications from pneumonia.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Norma and James Noble, and his mother-in-law, Sheila Markowitz. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Carrie; his cherished daughters, Emma and Megan; his sister, Nancy (Gary) Line; father-in-law, Henry Markowitz; brother-in-law, Ben (Anna) Markowitz; and his nieces and nephews, Rob (Sam) Line, Mike (Holly) Line, Sean and Ashlyn Markowitz.
Jim was a man who filled every room with laughter, kindness, and music. A lifelong music lover, he was a devoted supporter of local bands and spent seven years enthusiastically backing the Eastridge High School Marching Band while both of his daughters were members.
Many knew him fondly as “Jello Jim,” a nickname earned through his legendary Jello-shot making skills and generous spirit—he truly was the life of every gathering.
Jim dedicated most of his professional life to the field of benefits and human resources. After retiring last year, he began working for the East Irondequoit School District’s transportation department, where he took great joy in helping children with special needs travel safely to and from school.
An animal lover at heart, Jim adored his Bernedoodle, Ellie, who brought him endless happiness. He also cherished time with family and friends at Conesus Lake and on trips to Old Forge.
Jim and Carrie’s love story began 38 years ago at Fay’s Drugs, where they not only met each other but also built lifelong friendships that remain strong to this day. Above all else, Jim was incredibly proud of his daughters and the young women they’ve become.
Jim’s humor, warmth, and willingness to help anyone in need left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched.
