Obituary of Eleanor Bendoraitis

Eleanor Bendoraitis died Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at the age of 96.  

Eleanor was the beloved wife of 56 years to Vito. Loving Mom of Diane (Matthew) Schermerhorn. Proud Grandmother of Hayden (Ryan) Schermerhorn and Megan (Kyle) Merton and Cherished Great Grandchildren, Charlie and Brooklynn Merton. Several Nieces and Nephews and Many Friends. Eleanor was a care provider for many and her Love and Compassion was shared with Everyone. Eleanor loved to read, play cards and Pokeno. She loved to share stories and spend time with Friends and Family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and the sound of her laughter will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mt. Carmel Hospice Home in Hilton, NY.

Friends are invited to meet the family on Friday, November 7 at 8:30 at Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Highway South) where a memorial service will follow at Peace of Christ Church (St. Ambrose) at 10:00 AM with entombent to follow at White Haven Memorial Park directly after the service.
