Obituary of Stephen J. Mele

Stephen departed this Earth far too soon on Saturday, November 1st. 
Steve was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Patricia Mele, and his mother and father-in-law, James and Kathryn Bianca. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Joella; his cherished children, Stephen (Sara) Mele, James Mele, and Bianca (Phil) Mele; his grandchildren, Gianna, Jordan, and Grayson; his sister, Linda Volta; his brothers, Robert Volta, Tony (Taikiko) Volta, Michael (Angela) Volta, and David Volta; His brother and sister-in-law, James and Kristina Bianca; and his many nieces and nephews.
Steve was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during the Gulf War. 
Steve loved spending quality time with family. He cherished the moments with his grandchildren. Steve looked forward to his annual family vacation.
Steve and Joella enjoyed their time going for drives and spending quality time at home.
Steve was a kind soul that was loved by many. He was known for his sarcasm and joking nature. He was always able to lighten up any situation. He will be sorely missed.

Friends are invited to visit the family on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 4 - 7 at the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Highway South).  Stephen's memorial service will be held Monday, November 10 at 10:00 AM. Burial to take place at Webster Rural Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the VA.
