Irondequoit: Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the age of 88. One of the few remaining Pearl Harbor survivors, passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Predeceased by his brothers Gene and Joseph Brugnoni. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Delores Brugnoni, children Mark Brugnoni of Arizona, Mary Anne (Jeff Lippe) Brugnoni and Kathy(Dominick) Comella of Atlanta, grandchildren, Zachary & Ryan Lippe and Sammy & Michael Comella, brothers John J. (Nancy) Brugnoni & Louis Brugnoni; sisters Joanne Donofrio of Florida, Mary Brugnoni & Isabelle Seebold, brother-in-law, Judge Donald (Rosalie) Mark, sisters-in-law, Lillian & Jennie Brugnoni & Marie (Vito) Slapelis, many nieces & nephews. Joe served more than six years in the Navy. He worked 32 years at Xerox Corp.
His family will receive friends Sunday 3-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Monday 10:00 am at St. Andrews Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial donations to the Rochester School for the Deaf, 1545 Saint Paul St., Rochester, NY 14621 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620
