Obituary of Lois M. Lofvers

Lois Margaret (Tellier) Lofvers died peacefully on November 17, 2025 at her assisted living facility in Apopka FL. She was born on 01/28/1926 in Rochester NY, to the late Jacob Tellier and Margaret (DeRyke) Tellier and was predeceased by Homer B. Lofvers, her husband of 52 years; and brother, Robert (Josephine) Tellier.

Lois grew up and raised her family in Irondequoit NY, living in the area for many years before moving to Natick, MA and then Apopka, FL to be nearer to her children. Over the years, Lois had been employed at Kodak, worked at local schools, and at the Industrial Management Council of Rochester. She was actively involved in the Rochester General Hospital Volunteer Services for over two decades.

She enjoyed interacting with people in many ways. Lasting friendships were developed through her YMCA chapter, card club, exercise class, and at the Summerville Presbyterian Church where she was a member for over 60 years. Lois enjoyed taking bus trips, walks, and traveling to visit her son and daughter and their families. Often she would say her favorite pastime was simply getting together for lunch with her many Rochester friends and relatives.

Lois is survived by her son, David (Susan) Lofvers; daughter, Lorri (George Bradley) Lofvers; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Shannon Gray) Lofvers, Michael Lofvers, Stephen (Amanda) Lofvers, Carolyn Bradley, Elizabeth (Christopher) Santos; and her great-grandsons Zane and Levi Lofvers.

Family and friends are invited to visit the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Hwy. South, on Friday, November 28 during calling hours 10:00 AM -11:30 AM, followed by a Memorial Service. Interment will be 1:00 PM at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to the Rochester Museum & Science Center, https://rmsc.org/join-support/donate/ or Summerville Presbyterian Church https://summervillechurch.org.
