Obituary of Chris C. Chilas

Irondequoit – On December 13, 2025 at age 91. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Cally Chilas. Chris is survived by his children, Diane Chilas and Michael Chilas; grandchildren, Christopher (Renee), Maria (Robert) Coughlin and Kyriakos; and great-grandchildren, Maggie and Nathan Coughlin.

Chris served as Staff Sergeant in the Air Force during the Korean War in Niagara Falls and Alaska, then achieved his associates degree in Construction Technology. After employment at Hooker Chemical, he moved on to the Eastman Kodak Company as Project Manager for 25 years.

Chris was a talented painter, enjoyed doing his own home repairs and golfing. He and Cally led an exciting and fulfilling life full of family, travel and love. Chris and Cally were very involved with the Greek Orthodox Church, where they made many life-long friends.

Family and friends may call at Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Hwy. So.) Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. His Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, 835 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620. Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
