It was with great sadness that I heard the news of Mike passing. I had the great pleasure of getting to know Mike (and Carol) when I first moved to West Irondequoit in the 1980’s. From the multiple fishing trips, and Super Bowl parties, to the one summer I had the privilege to crew on Ratified for races on Lake Ontario, I was happy to call Mike my friend! I’m so glad that we were able to get together for lunch this past summer, sadly it would be the last time that I would be able to enjoy his wit and infectious smile. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. His absence will be deeply felt by many!

I am deeply saddened by the loss of a truly magnificent man and my neighbor. My very last memory I will have of Mike will be of him standing in his driveway waving goodbye to me as I headed off to Mexico for 6 months. Little did I know how much that image will stay with me now. I will always see him there now each time I pass "Poverty Ridge". It will be a gift to have that memory. My heart goes out to family at this time of great loss. God's speed Mike.
