Obituary of Patricia Cassara-Thompson
Patti Cassara passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of music, warmth, and creativity that touched many lives.
From an early age, Patti shared her talent as a singer and guitarist in the Cassara's family band. Music was at the heart of who she was, and it carried her across the United States as she sang, performed, and modeled, bringing joy and connection wherever she went. Among her many memorable experiences, Patti proudly performed as a warm-up act for legendary comedian Foster Brooks, a highlight she cherished.
Patti was known not only for her talent, but for her kindness, grace, flamboyant style, and vibrant spirit. She had a natural ability to make others feel welcome, and her warmth stayed with people long after meeting her.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Aaron Manor for the compassionate care, dignity, and kindness shown to Patti.
Patti will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Patti is predeceased by her parents, Joseph & Mary Cassara; and niece, Lacey Sawyer. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Scott Thompson; brothers, Gary (Alice) Cassara, Mark (Ann) Cassara; sister in-law, Patty (Mike) Converse; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive family and friends, Monday, December 29th from 9AM-11AM at the funeral home, with a service to immediately follow at 11AM. Interment at Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Tunnel to Towers in Patti's memory.
