Obituary of Angelina Barton
Angelina “Angie” Carmella Barton,
passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the Inn at Northwood Village in Dover, Ohio. Angie was born on May 8, 1930, in St. Johnsville, New York, the daughter of Salvatore Croce and Maddelena (Perretta) Croce. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady, New York with the class of 1948. She completed the requirements for graduation from the vocational trade dressmaking curriculum. Angie was an accomplished seamstress and loved sewing and crafting for her family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family and cooking and baking for them gave her immense pleasure. She always had the best eggplant parmigiana you’ve ever tasted and delicious Italian cookies ready when family visited.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Maddelena, her three brothers, Louis, Sam, and Steve and her husband of 25 years, Ronald G. Barton. She is survived by her four children, Albert Ruberti (Patty), James Ruberti (Jeanne), Ruth Ann Downs (Paul), and Anthony Rubert (Marilou), three grandchildren Niclole, Brian, Kate, and one great grandson Desmond Ruberti. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff at The Inn at Northwood Village, along with Crossroads Hospice, for all the loving care they provided to Angie since March 2023.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3430 Saint Michaels Blvd. NW, Canton, OH 44718 Mon., Jan 5 at 11am. There will be no calling hours.
