Obituary of Geraldine M. Pulver

Geraldine M. “Gerri” Pulver

Irondequoit – On January 12, 2026 at age 85. She is predeceased by her sister, Bernadine “Bunny” Warren. Gerri is survived by her husband of 26 years, Douglas Jackson; children, Marty (Steve Peterson) Pulver, Sara Pulver and Matthew (Janet) Pulver; grandchildren, Amanda and Kayla Pulver; step-children, Christina Jackson, Jennifer (Burt) Brand and Michael Jackson; nieces and nephew; many beloved aides; and Batman the cat.

Geraldine 'Gerri' Myrtle Pulver was born on 2/15/1940 in Newark, NY to Mary Rose Morandi and Sherman Joseph Carroll. In high school she was in a girl's singing trio, captain of the basketball team, and a member of the dramatics club, athletic club, student congress, sports counsel and chorus. A graduate of Nazareth College, she was an art teacher in the Greece school district for many years. She also became, along with her husband Doug, a skilled antique restorer. Gerri was a champion for civil liberties and was always rooting for the 'little guy'. She loved animals and people and music. She is survived by her husband Douglas Jackson who cared for her tirelessly in her last years, her children Martha Jo (Steve Peterson) Pulver, Sara Pulver, and Matthew (Janet) Pulver, her grand daughters Amanda and Kayla Pulver, nieces and nephew, numerous beloved caregivers and Batman the cat. 

Family and friends may call at Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Hwy. So.) Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 4-6PM. Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church, 401 Rogers Parkway, Rochester, NY 14617. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or the ACLU. in Gerri’s memory.
