Obituary of Karen J. Giardino

Karen Giardino passed away with family by her side on January 16, 2026 at the age of 68.

Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Marilyn Martin.

Karen is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jim; daughters, Katelyn (Shawn) Masood and Jennie Giardino; grandson, Zane; siblings, Robert Martin, Jr., Jonathan (Sandi) Martin, Paulette (Pete) Wekenmann; sister in-law, Jolie Giardino; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Karen found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. She loved traveling, shopping, and spending time with friends and family—especially cherishing every moment with her grandson. She had a special talent for decorating and took great pride in creating a welcoming home. Karen was also a devoted animal lover and deeply cherished her pets.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of the Highland Hospital ICU for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Karen.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 1:00-4:00PM at the funeral home.  Karen's Memorial Service to immediately follow at 4:00PM.  In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Karen's memory.
