Obituary of Alexandra Kartawets

Alexandra Kartawets 

Webster – On January 21, 2026 at age 101. She is predeceased by her grandson, Paulie;  husband, Ivan Kartawets, and son-in-law, William Iwasiw. Alexandra is survived by her caregiver daughter, Tanya Iwasiw, who cared for her the past 5 years of her life. She is also survived by her precious, loving granddaughter, Sonya (Joseph) Biehler; and grandsons, Tommy and Andrew Biehler.

Alexandra was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church. At one time, she was the head cook at the church, she had exceptional taste buds; her food was always loved by all. Ladies who helped her were great as well.

Many thanks to nurse, Jodi, from Rochester Regional Health. She is a very conscientious nurse.

No prior calling. Her Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday, January 31, 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 3176 St Paul Blvd, Irondequoit, NY 14617. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
