Carl and I were best friends for over 60 years. Other than family I've probably known him the longest. Words cannot express how much he meant to me. I have a lifetime of memories that I will cherish and the best of times that we shared. There is a hole in my heart that can never be filled. Our mutual love for the band RUSH was the common denominator that offered us the best memories of all. God speed by friend. Till we meet again...

Carl worked for me at two different manufacturing locations in Rochester. He would come to see me every morning to ask how I was doing as well as to share what was happening in his life.
Carl made a point to see everyone to enquire about how they were doing. In his last position where we worked together, he was an engineering administrator, which translated into following up on critical details on a regular basis.
Like Carl I am an old-time rock roll fan; hard as he would try, he could not turn me into a Rush fan!
Rest in peace Carl.

Carl was my roommate at Alfred. We had many good laughs those two years. I never doubted Carl would succeed at any endeavor he attempted. Focused and driven. His curiosity on how things worked and why they didn't work, were never far from his thoughts. We all ask, why did this illness affect him? There isn't an answer that we will ever know. Betty White once was asked if she was afraid of death. Her reply was, "No." When asked why, she replied, "Then I'll know the secret of what happens to us when we pass." Carl now knows the secret, and I am sure he finds that satisfying.

I had the pleasure of working with Carl for five years. He was/is a valued colleague and a good friend too. A real exceptional individual. When I read of Carl having gotten the Irondequoit Good Neighbor Award I wasnt surprised at all. Carl is one of those people that made a lasting impression on you after you got to know him for only just a short while. He was soooo proud of his family. Oh yes, I heard about Rush (musician ) , trips to Maine, Frank Lloyd Wright the architect too. He s telling about all that now up in heaven I m sure. The good Lord is probably asking him to turn the Rush music down a bit now.

It was an honor to know and to work with Carl. I always felt he would do anything he could for anyone; he was a man who cast a tall, kind shadow. Carl was one of my favorite EPP colleagues. The world has lost a great person. Deepest sympathy to Carl’s wonderful family; he loved you all so much.
