It was an honor to work with Carol for the past 10 years at General Code. We shared life stories, laughter, and cat updates. Her kindness, professionalism and sense of humor will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to your family on the loss of a brave, beautiful soul. Sincerely, Michelle Ventimiglia

I met and worked with Carol in the last years of her. Life. We were brought together by her devoted sister in law, Judy. Judy and her family dedicated themselves to trying to get Carol back to live in her home for her last days. They worked diligently in making her life as comfortable and memorable as possible along with the staff at Highland. I was able to spend time getting to know her during our car rides to and from her doctors appointments. We made stops on our rides at Brownstiens deli, 12 corners bagels for treats to take home. Our next food run was going to be to Schwans deli for the sampler platter. She was a joy to be with.. Thank you Judy, Jim and family. Blessing and prayers to her family.

I worked with Carol throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. I truly aspired to grow up one day and become Carol Calamia. She was a treasure, a true wordsmith, and one the smartest people I've ever known. She's riding a cloud in heaven correcting everyone's grammar, and rightly so. Ride on, sweet Carol.

I was one of Carol’s lucky co-workers at Nixon Peabody who got to see her daily dedication, intelligence, and strong work ethic. From my first day there, I heard many say that before a document could be filed or mailed, Carol had to review and edit it. One of my favorite memories is debating a grammar rule with another lawyer and both of us saying we needed to call Carol, which we did. We accepted her ruling as if it were ex cathedra. She was a pleasure to work with and will be missed.
I pray the Lord’s blessings found in Numbers 6:24-26 on the Calamia family.

I was blessed to be a part of Carol’s family. She was so smart, witty, funny and kind. Carol helped me with my resume that landed me a long teaching career. She was so good to me and my family. I will always remember our dinners and celebrations we shared. Her cranberry dish was always a standout at our Thanksgiving dinners.
Carol, I’m glad you are out of pain. Thanks for your generosity and kindness. Say hi to your mom and dad in heaven. Love you lots, Wendy.

Carol and I have been neighbors for twenty years. She was smart, caring, and kind. I felt relieved and heartened any time I knew she was involved with a project, because I knew her endorsement meant thought had gone into the project and it was likely to be a success. I'm very sorry to hear of her passing, she will be missed.
